HULL’s current beta stores workout, health, measurement, and progress-photo information locally on your device unless you intentionally export or share it.
Who we are
HULL is operated by ALTR Labs LLC. Questions, access requests, or deletion requests may be sent to admin@joinhull.com.
Information you provide
The app may process information you choose to enter, including your optional name, training experience, goals, workouts, exercises, load, repetitions, repetitions in reserve (RIR), schedules, reminders, fatigue, motivation, soreness, pain, body weight, body measurements, progress photos, notes, and backup files.
Apple Health
With your permission, HULL may read approved Apple Health categories such as body weight, step count, and sleep duration. HULL requests read access only. It does not write to Apple Health, sell Health data, or use Health data for advertising, marketing, or data brokerage. Any future Health category will be described before permission is requested.
How information is used
HULL uses information to operate workout logging, generate fitness recommendations and estimates, display progress and recovery trends, schedule reminders, support backup and restore, maintain security, diagnose problems, and improve health and fitness features.
Storage and disclosure
The current beta does not maintain a cloud account, public feed, trainer portal, or social database. Progress photos are stored in protected local application files. HULL does not sell personal information. Information leaves the app only when you intentionally export or share it, when your device or backup settings transmit it under Apple’s services, or when disclosure is legally required. If HULL later adds cloud, social, or trainer features, this policy and the consent experience will be updated before sensitive information is transmitted for those features.
Website and waitlist providers
The HULL website is hosted through Netlify. The waitlist uses Brevo to store consented email addresses and send beta or launch communications. Google reCAPTCHA helps prevent abuse and may receive device, browser, network, interaction, and cookie information under Google’s policies. These providers process information under their own agreements and privacy practices.
Retention and deletion
Local app information remains until you delete individual records, select Delete All HULL Data in Profile → Legal, Privacy & Safety, or remove the app and its data. Deleting HULL data does not delete original Apple Health records. Exported copies remain wherever you save or share them. Waitlist information remains until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, subject to limited records we must retain for legal or suppression purposes.
Your choices
You may decline Photos or Apple Health access, change permissions in iOS, export an HULL backup, delete HULL’s local information, unsubscribe using an email link, or contact us. Revoking Apple Health permission stops future access but does not automatically erase copies already imported into HULL.
Security and health-data incidents
We use platform protections and reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure. If applicable law requires notice of a breach involving identifiable health information, ALTR Labs LLC will notify affected people and regulators as required.
Children
The HULL beta is intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted information.
Changes
We may update this policy as HULL changes. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-app notice or renewed consent.
